The Best UK Bargain Websites for Everyday Savers
A friendly guide to the UK bargain websites and apps worth bookmarking, and what each one does best.
By Big Deal Babe·
There is no single website that has every bargain in the UK. The savviest savers I know keep a little collection of favourites, each one brilliant at a different job.
Some sites are fantastic for bills and banking, some for snapping up food that would otherwise go to waste, and some for finding a designer coat for a fraction of the price. Here is my round-up of the UK bargain websites worth bookmarking, and what each one is best at.
MoneySavingExpert: best for money guides and bills
MoneySavingExpert is the go-to for the bigger money decisions: energy, broadband, banking, insurance and credit cards. Its weekly email is packed with tips, and its guides explain things in plain English. It is less about everyday shopping deals and more about saving on the bills that quietly drain your bank account.
hotukdeals: best for community-voted deals
hotukdeals is a huge community where shoppers post deals and vote them up or down. When it is good, it is very good, and popular deals rise to the top quickly. The trade-off is volume: there is a lot to scroll through, so it suits people who enjoy the hunt.
Too Good To Go: best for food bargains
Too Good To Go lets you buy "surprise bags" of surplus food from local cafés, bakeries and supermarkets at a reduced price. You don't always know exactly what you will get, which is half the fun, and it helps cut food waste too.
Olio: best for freebies near you
Olio is a sharing app where neighbours give away spare food and household items for free. Availability depends on where you live, but it is a lovely way to pick up useful bits and pass on things you no longer need.
Vinted: best for preloved fashion
Vinted is a marketplace for secondhand clothes, shoes and accessories. You can find great brands at a fraction of their original price, and clearing out your own wardrobe can bring in a little extra money at the same time.
BigDealBabe: best for curated Amazon UK deals
This is where I come in. BigDealBabe is built for people who want the good Amazon UK bargains without wading through hundreds of listings. Every deal on our live UK bargains page is checked against Amazon's own reference price, and only genuine savings of 20% or more are shown, across home, kitchen, garden, appliances, tech, gaming and pets. The feed refreshes throughout the day.
Alongside the deals, I write honest product reviews, so if you're wondering whether something is actually worth buying, you can find out before you spend.
How to make the most of UK bargain websites
Pick two or three sites that match how you shop rather than trying to follow everything. Always compare a deal with what a product usually sells for, not just the crossed-out price. And before you click buy, ask yourself one simple question: would I have bought this anyway? If the answer is yes, a good discount is a lovely bonus.
