I chose the DownyPaws fountain because I wanted to give my cats another appealing place to drink. It has proved to be a very good purchase. Their first reaction was quite funny. They were fascinated by the moving water and clearly did not know what to make of it. Once the novelty wore off, however, they began using it properly and now seem very happy drinking from it.
Cordless Placement Makes a Real Difference
One of the fountain's biggest advantages is its rechargeable battery. Because it does not need to remain plugged in, you are not restricted to placing it beside the nearest socket or leaving a cable trailing across the floor. That freedom is particularly useful with cats because many prefer their drinking water to be kept separately from their food. I would recommend finding the fountain its own quiet spot rather than positioning it directly beside their feeding bowls. The 2.5-litre capacity is useful in a multi-cat home, although the water should still be checked and refreshed regularly.

The battery life has been excellent in my experience. I have only charged it once in approximately three weeks, although the exact time between charges will naturally depend on the selected mode and how frequently your cats activate it.
